King Rat, based in Denver, Colorado, has been cranking out original two-and-a-half minute tirades about partying, passion and pain for 22 years now.  Their DIY character and bring-it-on attitude confronts banality while hacking away at the strictures of the status-quo.  King Rat celebrates the rush of joy at life’s brightest pinnacle, and traverses the mire of despair in life’s deepest trough.  Their music applies literary blue collar grit to the old-school punk rock ascetic.  The result is a sound that presents courage, calamity, sarcasm and rage in varying degrees. Over the course of their long career King Rat has played a relentless schedule of innumerable shows throughout the west and midwest, sharing the stage with bands like Bad Religion, OFF!, Face to Face, Unwritten Law and so many others. Throughout the fall and winter of 2017, King Rat will be found notching more concerts into their belts in support of the new album.  Recently, King Rat was lucky enough to be featured on the Spotify playlist "New Punk Tracks".  This exclusive and coveted playlist, curated in-house by Spotify, helped to expose King Rat's new song "Thrift Store Kids" to over 66,000 new fans.
