Signing to our Label:  Unable Records works with bands to record full length albums and EPs. We will also be releasing the occasional compilation CD. If your band is interested in signing with Unable Records or getting a song on an upcoming comp, send us a demo, our info is below. If you sign with Unable Records, this is some of what you can expect:

-Unable Records will pay for recording at a studio mutually agreed upon by you and us.

-We pay for the mastering and post production of your recording.

-We pay for graphic design and printing of all album artwork and promo materials (posters, postcards, etc.).

-We will work with you and our graphic designer to come up with artwork that we all agree on.

-We pay for the manufacturing of your CD, to be accomplished at a top quality manufacturer. It will look and sound as good as anything a major label puts out.

-Unable Records will promote, market, and sell your release to the best of our ability.  For each release, we develop a specific promotion and marketing plan.  You, as the band, will have a great deal of input on this, and all stages of your project.  Depending on the situation, we will utilize some or all of the following:  online sales via downloads, online and mail order sales of CDs through our website, online sales through online distributors, consignment style sales in record stores, record store sales using traditional distribution, and sales at shows and events.  We promote your release by seeking publicity for your band and the label, and via paid advertising.  We will also push for radio/tv airplay where relevant.

-Unable Records splits all profits from a release with the band on a 50/50 basis!

Booking:  Even if you don't sign with Unable Records, you can still be our partner.  We keep a database of contact infomation for everyone that we have a relationship with.  We will contact you to play with our bands as they tour through your area.  Or if you need a show, contact us, and we'll try to find someone to hook you up with with.  We will do our best to help everyone get shows, whether its just one, or an entire tour.  We can't make any promises, but we will certainly try to help.  Think of us as another way to network with bands, venues, zines, labels, and so on all over the country!!  The more bands that we have partnerships with, the better the system works.  If your band is interested in a partnership with Unable Records, please contact us.

Distribution:  We may not sign your band, but we can certainly help you sell your stuff.  We will take your releases on a consignment style basis and help you sell them through whatever means is appropriate.  We will work out the details on a case by case basis, but we will usually only take a very small percentage of each thing we sell on your behalf.  If we don't sell anything, we don't get paid, and we'll send your stuff back whenever you want it back.  Again, no promises on results, but we always give it our best shot.  Contact us for more info, and we'll work something out.
