    UNABLE RECORDS ANNOUNCES NEW COMEDY ARM

    SOUL JOEL RECORDS WILL BEGIN SIGNING NEW COMEDY TALENT TO LABEL

    CHERRY HILL, NJ. Unable Records today announced the launch of its new comedy division, Soul Joel Records, in conjunction with comedy producer, Joel Richardson.


    Founded in 2007, Unable Records has worked with recording artists and labels from all over the world. Originally a punk rock label, Unable has progressively expanded its work into


    most genres; but this new division marks its first foray into comedy.


    Joel Richardson’s ‘Soul Joel Productions’ has been producing comedy shows across the country for nearly a decade. He has worked with some of the top names in the business and is now helping up-and-coming comics take their careers to the next level.


    “I produce over 200 comedy shows every year,” said Richardson. “Working with so many comics, I meet talented artists who deserve to be heard by a bigger audience. My relationship with the folks at Unable has a long history so this partnership seemed like a natural progression for both of our brands. I’m excited about introducing the entire country to the next stars of comedy.”


    “Helping artists accomplish their goals is really what we are all about, and I think that our expansion into comedy is a very natural fit,” explained Mike Ransom, Managing Partner of Unable Records. “There are a lot of parallels between the independent music scene and the comedy scene, so we feel comfortable jumping right in. We know Joel is well entrenched in the comedy industry and he will be bringing us amazing, untapped talent whose time has come for a bigger stage.”


    In the coming weeks, Soul Joel Records will announce signed artists and layout planned release dates.


    “We are in a real renaissance for comedy,” Richardson said. “Today, entertainers have so many ways to be seen and discovered, but nothing beats putting out an album and building a fanbase. Soul Joel Records will be opening up a whole new world of comedy to the public and we’re all excited to get started.”
